Lucia means light. There are two things homeschooled students need to know most: that Jesus is the true Light, and that they have a purpose to bring His light to the world. My mission is helping them gain this conviction for themselves!
My name is Annalise Jones.
Native of Las Vegas, Nevada, I am now a mother of five and we have been homeschooling for our whole life as a family,
graduating my oldest in 2023.
From my experience, I know that high-quality mentors and classes based on wholesome literature and engaging discussions have a profound effect on a student’s education journey.
This is magnified even more if we can connect the literature to true Biblical principles and talk about real life applications that will make us better people!
After teaching at various co-ops for 10 years, I understand what families just like yours are looking for. Lucia Learning is the result - a schedule of classes in a variety of subjects, both live and recorded. The classes are conversational and tailored to meet the needs of those particular students.
When a student needs some extra attention, I offer one-on-one tutoring, as well as Biblical mentoring for a healthy balanced life.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with an English minor, and I’m currently working toward my Masters of Divinity at Kairos University. I now develop my own courses mixing all three elements, as well as mathematics. I have taught piano lessons and various other homeschool classes over the years, before settling in as a professional tutor and teacher.
My other interests are holistic health and nutrition, mental health and personal development — and I work these into my courses as well, whenever I’m able :)

As a mentor, I am flexible, down-to-earth, and relatable. I get to know each student personally. I am excited about each book I teach from and I share my passion with my students!

***Statement of Faith***
At Lucia Learning, we hold to Biblical truths as taught since antiquity and expounded upon during the Protestant reformation. This includes the authority of scripture and salvation by grace alone, in Christ alone, through faith alone, for the glory of God alone.
We believe in the triune God, as coequal and co-eternal persons in one being. Jesus Christ is the eternal Son without origin.
We believe mankind is sinful by nature and practice. All are alienated from God, and it is only through the blood of Jesus that we are reconciled, through both propitiation of sin and imputation of righteousness.
We believe that any acclaimed scripture or religious leader standing in contradiction to the Bible is false.
We believe God created male and female, immutably from conception and with a purpose for each individual as their respective gender. Each individual is responsible to live according to their biological gender.
We believe marriage is the exclusive union between one man and one woman, and that sexual relations are to take place only within the confines and protection of that Divine design.
We believe that because God created mankind in His image, all human life has dignity and worth, in every stage from conception to natural death.
