Leadership & Personal Development - (Recording Only)
All tweens and teens. Learn about your personality, leadership style, and other gifts to offer the world. Learn about self-care and how to be your best self! Study historical figures who demonstrated virtue, persistence, boldness, courage, in politics, science, religion, and more (such as George Washington Carver, Ben Carson, Joan of Arc, Martin Luther, Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, C.S. Lewis). We also read a couple fiction novels in order to be inspired by the leadership traits of classic heroes in literature (Atticus Finch) and to see the literary personal development journey in the book Crispin. Hear from other students as they present on who they consider inspiring and exemplary. Students make a binder/scrapbook with a page to illustrate each virtue/leadership trait. We discuss a few books and watch a few historical films. This is a full year course. Once purchased, the book list and course outline will be emailed to you, and you can be in contact via email with any further questions!
